I   Introduction

Greeting 

T:Good afternoon,dear friends !How are you getting on?I am sure you are in a good mood and eager to work upon the topic.

Warming-up

T: Have you noticed anything amazing on the teacher`s table?
(It`s a ball)
     How many possible uses can you find a ball?
     (For example:as a chair,as a pillow,as a globe,to break the window,to swim in the sea)

Motivation

T:Today we are going to discuss people who go in for sport and their qualities.People have different tastes,likes,dislikes that`s why they go in for different kinds of sport..By the end of the lesson we`ll be able to explain the epigraphs for our lesson.Look at the blackboard and read them.

Epigraphs:

Sport is a challenge to a person.
If you want to know what qualities you have,go in for sport and you`ll see.
You never know what you can do till you try.

II. Main part of the lesson

1  Vocabulary revision

 Interactive exercise for the development of pupil`s creative abilities.

T: Let`s imagine that sport is a person..What qualities would you choose to describe sport and why?
You may use your vocabularies on the topic "Disposition"

Possible answers:.
P1:Sport is a sociable person because he united a lot of people.
P2:Sport is a persistant  because everybody wants to achieve aim.
P3:Sport is hard-working because he trains a lot to win the victory
P4:Sport is disciplened because he has to save time and keep diet.
P5:Sport is a risky because he can lose his health and even life.

2.Group work. Present projects. (Checking the homework)

T: Dear friends!Your home task for today was to prepare mini-project about sport. You `ve worked in groups .Let`s begin with presentation prepared by group "Sport lovers"
    (Pupils present their multi media project)
P1: Our group consists of boys.Sport is our life.After school we look forward to training in our school gym.We are sport funs.and we have been going in for football for 5 years.Football makes us healthy,it keeps us fit,more organised and better disciplined.We play for our school team.We always take part  in competition and often win .Sometimes our matches finish in draw
P2:.We think everybody should do sport every day.Sport is necessary for life.People who go in for sport are strong and healthy and look young.
P3:I don`t think I`ll become a famous sportsman But I play football for myself.Sport helps me feel cheerful.Sport helps me even in studying..Besides due to sport I make new friends and feel part of a team
P4:Last week We took the  football match between our school team and a team of school number two.Today we are going to show  you this match and comment it.Look at the screen,please!.

T:Next group "Psychologists"  will present their project 

P1:We researched a connection between a  kind of sport and  a character of person.We interved our classmates ,our parents and teachers.We asked thewhat kind of sport they liked.
As a result , their  attitude to sport can tell about their  personality.
P2:If the person is brave he likes extreme sports such as bungee jumping,surfing,snowboarding , parachuting,racing.
P3:If the persons are patient and shy they prefer tennis,jogging,archery,
P4:The persons ,who are sociable enjoy playingfootball,basketball,volleyball,running,swimming.
P5;Resevered people are fond of chess,draughts as well yoga,golf,
P6 :If men are ambitious they are crasy about fencing,boxing,wresling.Emotional girls like figure skating, gymnastic.

P1:Look at the pictures.You can see unusual kinds of sport.What are they?Yes, You are right.Our project is about extreme sport.Many people today go in for extreme sports. Perhaps, they find ordinary sports too boring and unexciting. It is also known that extreme sports help to build character and form a strong personality. There are different types of extreme sports, for example, rock climbing, rafting, scuba diving, surfing, snowboarding, parachuting, hang-gliding, bungee jumping etc. These activities usually involve speed, height and a good level of physical training. However, they become more and more popular even among the beginners. Doing such sports people learn how to overcome difficult situations and how to survive in an emergency. It also develops patience and self-control, and helps to control your fear. 
P2:More importantly, it gives the sense of achievement.There is an element of risk in all extreme sports. If you don’t do things right, you are asking for trouble. But training and proper equipment help to make these sports safer. The difference between extreme sport and normal sport is that, although there are organized competitions for these sports, most extreme sports people are more interested in testing their own abilities than in winning prizes. In fact, most of them would agree with a famous mountaineer’s reply when asked why he wanted to climb Everest: «Because it’s there”.At the same time most adults think that there are safer sports, which also help to build your character. For example, swimming, football, ice hockey, skiing and some others.
P3:In conclusion we’d like to add that even though we don’t parachute or scuba dive ourselves, we admire people who dare to do such sports. We think it requires a lot of courage and inner strength to do extreme sport

Exchanging the ideas  (De Bono`s Six Thinking Hats)
T: I have six hats different colours.I am going to put them on your heads.Your task is to ask my question according to the colour of your hat.
Some people think that dangerous sport should be banned.What is your opinion?

Possible answers:
P!:(white hat) One of the most conspicuous trends in the 21st century is the spread of dangerous or extreme sports which are becoming more and more popular in society.People in extreme sports complete not only against each other, but also against weather and difficulties and conditions of exact kind of extreme sport.
There are many extreme sports that take place in air, land, and water. For example there are some of them: ski jumping, sky diving ,sky surfing, sky flying, indoor climbing, BMX (bicycle motocross), mountain biking, mountain boarding, skateboarding, snowboarding, powerboat racing, surfing, whitewater kayaking, windsurfing. All these sports need to have special equipment and glasses. We can be sure that many new extreme sports will appear soon. Every year more and more people are interested in extreme sports and take active part in them. I'm sure that soon extreme sports will be on a high level
P2 :( black hat)  I think that dangerous sports should be banned because a sportsman may lose his health and even life.
P3: (yellow hat)  Some people can`t live without excitement.Dangerous sport gives them that feeling.
P4: (red hat) My point of view is that nobody can force you to go in for dangerous sport.Everyone makes their own choice.
P5: (green hatAs you can easily see many sports can be very risky  but if they are played with responsibility they can be safe and have great benefits. You can also see if there are proper safety requirements to dangerous sports they can be played safely and they can also lead to great benefits in health and self esteem. 
P6: (blue hat )To sum things up I would say that extreme sports are dangerous, but allowed. People can do what they want to, but I hope they will practise a lot and are aware of the danger before starting to climb without a rope, dive without an oxygen bottle or such intents.
I think everywhere in life are risk. Accepting them, we have to take care of us, but at the same time our life should/shall not be too boring. The change and risk is what we need, it makes our life so interesting.

T:Well,I see your opinions differ.But regardless of our opinions dangerous sport do exist.

To be a great human being.

A group that has a good time, that makes you glad you came.

III  Summary
       T:Now look at the epigraphs of our lesson.They express the idea of this song..I am sure some of you have a dream to be good at sport .But you are lazy to train.I want sport to help you understand that your success in life is based on aim,hard work and fight.Ihope sport will help you find a friendly group and give a chance to have fun.
You have work hard.You were rather creative and active.Thank you for your projects and participation during the lesson.You`ve got excellent marks today.
